Day 14 AdvoCare 24DC and getting back on the wagon tips

on April 25, 2017

Listen up!!!!
I DO NOT FREAK OUT ABOUT MY DIET!!!  Sometimes I am on plan, sometimes I am wayyy off!  If your diet becomes an obsession then you need to sit down with your bible and take a breather.  Ask God for help!  I used to go into panic mode every time I ate “sugar” (especially) and I would think “well, now I’ve done it, I might as well give up!” NO NO NO!!!  If you eat something you know you shouldn’t, pick yourself up (because you’ll feel like poop and wanna lay down), dust yourself off and jump back on track (y)  If you enjoyed what you had or you were with good company then it was worth it 🙂  But do not let this be a deterrent in your entire day.  Good health is a journey that never ends.  I believe in living each day to the fullest because we are not promised tomorrow.  More important than how you eat is how you love…never let the I love you’s go unsaid ❤

✟ And now abideth faith, hope, charity/love, these three; but the greatest of these is charity/love 1 Corin 13:13

Ironic how God works sometimes… after writing the above I read the below…

“Every time you misstep on your healthy journey, you have two choices: to keep walking backwards, which will surely take you even further away from your goals; or to accept your lack of perfection as normal and forgivable, and take not one, but two positive steps down the path that brings your closer to the future you want.

If you’re reading this, you might have been walking backwards for a while. But instead of waiting for the next day, week, month or even year to overhaul your habits, start TODAY. And start small. You can’t go from the recliner to running or from burgers to Brussels sprouts in an afternoon. But you can do one, two or even a handful of small things that will help you regain your momentum for healthy living.

When you feel like getting back on track is overwhelming, try one (or more) of these small steps each day.

  1. Try a short workout. Even five minutes is better than nothing.
  2. Try a new recipe. Cooking healthy foods can be fun and it never has to be bland.
  3. Eat a healthy breakfast. Your morning meal sets the stage for the rest of your day, so start if off right!
  4. Drink your water. Try to aim for 8 cups each day and you’ll feel the difference!
  5. Look for motivation.  Seeing how others overcome similar struggles and obstacles can be a great source of motivation.
  6. Track your food. No matter how it adds up, you’ll learn from it.”

What I ate today:
Spark/Catalyst/Thermo/MNS 16 oz
S/Almond butter waffle (2 w/MNS) 16 oz
FP/Cottage berry whip (p379) 16 oz
(Before MNS w/ 4 oz)
S/PB protein shake
Spark & Catalyst/3 (16 oz)
S/Cake in a mug (p379) (12 oz)
E/Spaghetti organic beef) w/ brown rice noodles (8 oz)
E/Banana w/ PB and drizzle of (FP) handy dandy chocolate sauce (4 oz)
(Magnesium 4 oz)

**I’m not a purist yo 😉

You can find the waffle recipe here (I added Enjoy Life chocolate chips and my TS son ate it all up topped w/ whip cream, whereas the little for whatever reason will NOT eat a waffle and these do not cook up well as a pancake) :/
AB waffles

Cottage Berry Whip——>Berry whip

Because I made peanut butter (oat flour and almond flour again) for my daughter today, I always utilize the leftover/residue in the Vitamix for either a shake or pudding.  Since it was lunch time I opted for a protein shake (due to the fact that I cannot run water in my kitchen sink actually cooking is getting hard!).  There was possible 2 Tbsp of peanut butter in the mixer to which I add ½ c almond milk, ½-¾ c water, 1 tsp chia, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 Tbsp cacoa and approx 1-1 ½ c ice 😛
