Day #13 AdvoCare 24DC and exercise

Oh yes, I’m feelin’ mighty fine, I’ve got heaven on my mind…
IDK what it is but I have felt so good today!!!  Started w/ spark, MNS and companion regimen as usual, just a normal day but there’s just something about Sunday’s and getting to spend time worshiping Jesus w/ my church family that just makes my cup so full ❤

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? I Corinthians 15:55
Death has the power to end life. Death has the power to separate. Death has the power to discourage and defeat us. But, we know the truth; Jesus lives! Because he lives, we know we can live with him. We believe that his victory over death is our victory. So like Jesus, we mock death and its power to destroy us. Jesus has destroyed death and brought immortality to life… in us through the Gospel.
Father, I admit that the death of those I love still hurts me. I thank you, however, that death doesn’t separate me for long from the ones I love who love you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Ya know, i don’t talk a lot about working out (since my Zumba instructor left me high and dry I just don’t get excited about working out anymore) but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be doing.  I do believe that what we put INTO our bodies goes a lot further for our weight issues than working out but working out IS important for many reasons!  A regular fitness routine has been shown to do everything from cut cancer and stroke risk to build stronger muscles and bones to encourage better brain health and digestion. Hello…WHO doesn’t need all that?

I hear people (like my mother) say I’m too old…. older people who exercise more have significantly less cognitive impairment than those who did not spend any time working out. Working out is so good for your brain because it increases the blood being pumped to the brain and encourages higher levels of healthy chemicals called brain-derived nerve growth factors

As we enter our 40s & 50s our muscle mass starts to decline :/  We NEED to maintain muscle mass (the more muscle we have the faster we burn fat & calories!) because it is essential for strength and balance.

And here’s a real kicker… EMOTIONS!  Need I say more?  Yes, ok… stress can be caused by elevated levels of cortisol, adrenaline and norepinephrine, exercise can lower these hormones while raising serotonin.  Serotonin is our “happy hormone” which will help reduce stress.  See how that works?  Henceforth, exercise can help keep stress and depression at bay.

Day #13
Spark/Catalyst/Thermo/MNS 16 oz
FP/Coconut Protein Drink (MNS/2)
16 oz
(Before lunch MNS) 4 oz
E/4 oz filet, steamed broccoli and sweet potato w/ cinnamon 😛 (20 oz)
Spark & catalyst/3 (16 oz)
FP/Grilled chicken salad (16 oz)

**I keep forgetting to mention that I do take magnesium every night before bed

Today I prepped for the week by making some oat flour, almond flour, almond butter and started mixing up an all-purpose gluten free flour…. but THIS time when I reached under the cabinet to get my soap for washing the Vitamix something wet dripped on my foot; here’s where it gets fun :/ I realized the whole flooring was a “pool” and everything under the sink was wet.  Meaning all the “box” products had to be thrown away!  But hey, at least I got my cabinet cleaned out right (gotta find that silver lining)
