WHY no dairy?

on March 14, 2013

Well, obviously we ALL understand why we should avoid/eliminate sugar (we do right?!) but “WHY NO DAIRY?” is the biggest question I get regarding the 10 day cleanse.

Hmmmmm.. remember when we were kids..ok wait, I can’t remember that far back let me try again..  Remember when our kids were small and sick and the doctor always said, “No diary!”..well I DO!  Dairy added to an already upset stomach will “curdle” (ewwww yuck). We’re trying to take the bad stuff OUT, we don’t wanna put it IN!

Don’t like that explanation?  How bout this one…the cleanse that we’re doing is “scrubbing the walls of your intestines, colon, kidneys & liver”, dairy coats the intestines so that your cleanse phase is scrubbing the dairy off instead of scrubbing you. Was that your “Ah Ha” moment? Yea, that one was more understandable.

On day 11, you can start to implement the dairy again but shoot for the skim/fat free type and don’t go crazy w/ the cheese (mmmm, there’s my weakness).  UNTIL then, opt for almond milk!
